Lead Snowflake Architect

Contract: 6 Months
Rate: £600–£750 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: Hybrid (occasional trips to client HQ)

We're looking for an experienced Lead Snowflake Architect to lead the design, governance, and optimisation of an enterprise-scale Snowflake platform. You'll provide technical leadership, define best practices, improve platform security and governance, and help shape the future operating model of the data platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Snowflake platform architecture and design.
  • Define governance, security, and RBAC frameworks.
  • Drive platform optimisation, monitoring, and cost management (FinOps).
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and platform automation.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver platform improvements.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale Snowflake platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of Snowflake security, governance, RBAC, and performance optimisation.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD, monitoring, observability, and data governance.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and technical leadership skills.
