Lead Data Engineer (Databricks) – London / Hybrid
Are you a seasoned Data Engineer ready to take on high-impact, fast-paced projects?
We’re looking for a Lead Data Engineer with deep Databricks expertise to drive complex data initiatives across industries.
💡 What you’ll be doing
You’ll play a key role delivering cutting-edge data solutions, either leading on projects independently or leading a small team on enterprise projects
Expect to:
- Design and build modern data platforms using Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog)
- Develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines on AWS/Azure
- Own or co-own client relationships and shape outcomes
- Lead data lakehouse implementations and cloud migrations
- Mentor engineers, support pre-sales, and contribute to growing a top-tier data team

🎯 What you bring
- 5+ years in Data Engineering (cloud-first: AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Strong hands-on Databricks experience (PySpark, SQL)
- Solid Python + SQL skills
- Experience with CI/CD and IaC (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation)
- A consulting mindset with strong stakeholder communication skills
