Lead Data Engineer – London (Hybrid) | Python, dbt, Airflow, AWS
A high-growth PropTech scale-up is entering a pivotal phase, rebuilding how data informs decisions across the entire organisation. They’re hiring a Lead Data Engineer to take ownership of the platform and drive the next chapter of their data strategy.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll design, build, and evolve a modern data platform from scratch - setting engineering standards, shaping architecture, and influencing how data powers the business.

What you’ll lead
- Architect and deliver a next-generation data platform
- Partner with senior stakeholders to embed data into core commercial and operational decisions
- Build scalable pipelines and cloud infrastructure using a modern engineering stack
- Establish engineering best practices and mentor future hires

Technical environment
- SQL & Python for processing and transformation
- dbt, Airflow, Looker
- AWS (GCP exposure beneficial)
- Snowflake or equivalent warehousing

Salary: £100k-£120k
