The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of the Data Ownership Model (DOM) as an enabler of our Data Strategy 2030 ambitions. The work spans design through to delivery, embedding Data Ownership enterprise-wide across business areas, policy and digital and transformation programmes. Working alongside other Data Managers, picking up line management responsibilities as required and reporting into the lead for Data Ownership.

Key activities include:
- Lead delivery of key components of the Data Ownership programme across multiple workstreams
- Translate governance strategy, policy and standards into scalable operating models and delivery approaches
- Drive identification, onboarding and enablement of data owners across the department
- Lead engagement with business and digital teams to ensure ownership is applied consistently in delivery, decision making and service design
- Oversee delivery of Conceptual Data Model workshops and ensure outputs are translated into ownership, accountability and governance application

Requirements:
- Proven experience delivering data governance or data ownership/stewardship models at scale
- Strong Data Governance expertise and data management knowledge
- Strategic and operational delivery capability
- Experience influencing and engaging senior stakeholders
- Experience supporting organisational change and behaviour shift
- Analytical and problem-solving capability
Essential experience:
- Working as a Data Governance Lead within Central Government Departments
