About AXA

AXA is a global leader in insurance and financial services, dedicated to helping customers protect what matters most to them. As the sixth-largest insurance company in the world, we provide a wide range of services, including health, car, home, and business insurance. We support millions of customers worldwide, helping them navigate life's uncertainties with confidence.

AXA UK Support Functions look after our three customer-facing business units, providing the infrastructure and expertise to make sure we can be there for our customers.

Job overview

We’re looking for a talented Lead Data Modeller to join our Data Modelling function, leading a team of modellers to drive our data strategy forward. You’ll provide expert technical leadership and practical hands-on support in designing, developing, and standardising enterprise data models. Your expertise will ensure our data remains consistent, efficient, and perfectly aligned with business needs and architectural standards. If you thrive on turning complex data requirements into clear, scalable models, we’d love to hear from you!

Key responsibilities

  • Act as a technical authority on data modelling, establishing and upholding best practices, standards, and guidelines across all teams.
  • Design and develop high-level conceptual, logical, and physical data models for critical enterprise data domains.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to both onshore and offshore Data Modeller teams, including technical oversight, design reviews, and quality assurance.
  • Work closely with business analysts, solution architects, and data engineers to translate business needs into robust and scalable data models.
  • Conduct data analysis and profiling to support the design and optimisation of data models.
  • Ensure data models are integrated with metadata management tools such as Collibra or Erwin, to maintain a comprehensive data catalogue.
  • Keep up to date with emerging data modelling techniques and technologies, recommending their adoption where suitable.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
