About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Scientist to join Artis Recruitment on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This pivotal role offers an excellent opportunity for a technically proficient data science professional who thrives in leadership positions and enjoys working hands-on with advanced analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the company's data strategy, delivering innovative analytical solutions, and unlocking commercial value through data-driven insights. You will lead a talented team of data scientists and analysts, providing strategic direction, mentorship, and technical expertise to ensure the successful delivery of complex projects that drive business growth.

  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and R or similar analytical languages.
  • Experience with machine learning, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks or comparable cloud-based analytics platforms.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent.
  • Experience working with cloud data platforms, data lakes, and enterprise data warehouses.
  • Previous leadership experience in managing and developing technical teams.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex analytical concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

The Lead Data Scientist will be responsible for a broad range of activities aimed at harnessing data to generate strategic insights and foster innovation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team of Data Scientists and Analysts to foster a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Designing and delivering advanced analytics, predictive models, and machine learning solutions to address complex business challenges.
  • Identifying opportunities where artificial intelligence and data science can enhance decision-making, operational efficiency, and revenue generation.
  • Translating business requirements into scalable, actionable analytical solutions that align with organizational goals.
  • Collaborating closely with Data Engineering and Business Intelligence teams to deploy and maintain production-ready models.
  • Championing innovation by evaluating emerging technologies, methodologies, and best practices within the data science and AI domains.
  • Presenting analytical findings, insights, and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders across the organization to influence decision-making.
  • Driving continuous improvement in analytical capabilities, governance, and delivery processes to ensure high-quality outputs and operational excellence.
