A global Insurer is looking to hire a Lead Data Scientist to join a well established team. This is an IC role building and implementing predictive models.

Key Responsibilities Partner with business teams to understand their challenges and prioritize analytics solutions. Collaborate in cross-functional teams to solve complex business problems. Build strong relationships across departments to support project goals and broader team needs. Lead the development of predictive models using GLMs, NLP, and machine learning techniques. Generate actionable insights using advanced analytics tools and methodologies. Explore and analyze internal and external datasets for model development. Establish best practices and repeatable processes for the Strategic Analytics team. Provide thought leadership on innovative analytics techniques, approaches, and software. Mentor and support a team of predictive modelers and data scientists.

Role Requirements & Skills Strong ability to design and implement statistical models using predictive modeling, NLP, and data mining techniques. Proficiency in data manipulation and analytics using Python, R, and/or SQL. Familiarity with cloud-based platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Azure) is a plus. Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills. Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and ability to work in ambiguous situations. Experience in advanced analytics, preferably in the insurance industry.
