THE ROLE
As a Lead Data Scientist, you will focus on building and deploying credit risk models within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to drive insight-led decision making across the business.
Specifically, you can expect to be involved in:
- Developing and maintaining credit risk models, including scorecards, behavioural and acquisition models
- Working on predictive modelling across areas such as fraud, open banking, and competitor analysis
- Deploying models into production environments and monitoring performance
- Collaborating with technical and business teams to deliver data-driven insights
- Contributing to innovation projects exploring new data sources and modelling techniques

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience in consumer credit or lending environments with exposure to credit risk modelling
- Strong hands-on coding skills in Python and SQL
- Experience developing predictive or statistical models in a commercial setting
- Knowledge of cloud-based tools (e.g. AWS SageMaker)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Exposure to model deployment or end-to-end model lifecycle is advantageous
- Degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, or similar
