About the Role
As the Lead Delivery Manager – Technology, you will lead the delivery of the Customer First Loyalty Programme—a complex, high-value £3–7m initiative spanning digital identity, loyalty, personalisation, and omnichannel customer engagement.
You will partner closely with business and commercial stakeholders to translate customer and commercial needs into high-quality, scalable technology outcomes. Your responsibilities include:
- Leading end-to-end delivery accountability, managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, resourcing, and risk.
- Defining and executing delivery strategy, approach, and plans aligned with governance standards and best practice.
- Driving stakeholder alignment across business, technology, commercial teams, and external partners to ensure customer-led outcomes.
- Ensuring robust governance, reporting, and proactive escalation via SteerCo and governance forums.
- Leading change and release management, guaranteeing controlled, high-quality deployments.
- Maintaining strong financial management, including budget control, forecasting, and value/benefit tracking.
- Leading Agile and lean delivery practices, embedding continuous improvement.
- Inspiring and aligning delivery teams and suppliers to drive pace, accountability, and performance.

You will operate across matrixed teams and third-party partners, balancing alignment, pace, and accountability while fostering collaboration and agility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of multiple high-value technology initiatives (£3–7m) within the Loyalty programme, including platforms and digital domains.
- Own end-to-end delivery accountability, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, quality, resourcing, and risk are fully managed.
- Define and execute the overearching delivery strategy, aligned with governance standards.
- Drive clear stakeholder alignment across business, technology, commercial, and external teams.
- Maintain robust governance, reporting, RAG status, and proactive escalation.
- Lead cross-team delivery, managing dependencies, integrations, and interdependencies.
- Own change and release management, ensuring high-quality, controlled live deployments.
- Manage financial performance, including budgets, forecasting, and benefit tracking.
- Shape and deliver digital experiences driving adoption and engagement.
- Lead, coach, and motivate delivery teams and suppliers to drive performance.
- Champion agile and lean practices while embedding continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven track record (5+ years) delivering complex, high-value technology initiatives at scale (e.g., MuleSoft, Oracle, Salesforce, Microsoft Azure).
- Experience in enterprise-scale platforms within large, complex organisations (e.g., FTSE 250) and familiarity with matrix structures.
- Strong delivery expertise in loyalty, digital, or CRM platforms, with a deep understanding of personalisation, omnichannel journeys, and customer data.
- Broad familiarity with emerging tech trends and best practices.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and challenge at all levels.
- Proven ability to operate in programme/product-led organisations, shaping teams for success.
- Experience delivering using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, adapting approaches as needed.
- Strong leadership capability, including the ability to inspire, align, and enhance team performance.
- Highly organised, with excellence in planning, prioritisation, and problem-solving.
- Resilient, adaptive, comfortable navigating ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
- Experience owning budgets and financial performance, including benefit tracking for initiatives over £3m.
