We are working with a specialist smart buildings and technology integrator delivering end-to-end digital infrastructure solutions across commercial real estate, data centres, residential and hospitality sectors.

With a strong reputation for delivering integrated, multi-technology environments, they are now seeking a Pre-Sales / Pre-Construction Design Lead to take ownership of technical solutions from early engagement through to project handover.

This is a key role sitting between sales, design and delivery, leading the development of high-quality, commercially robust smart building solutions.

  • Owning opportunities from initial enquiry through to contract award and handover
  • Designing and costing multi-technology smart building solutions
  • Producing high-quality technical proposals, BoMs and cost models
  • Working closely with sales, commercial and delivery teams to shape winning bids
  • Attending client meetings, site surveys and presentations
  • Leading pre-construction design coordination and ensuring smooth transition to delivery teams
  • Managing design changes, variations and technical compliance post-award
  • Building strong relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members where required

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
