Our client's iOS Development function is scaling fast — multiple teams shipping high-impact features for customers worldwide — and we're looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to bring order, speed, and world-class quality to how it all ships.
This is a genuine hybrid role: hands-on DevOps engineering + people leadership. You'll consolidate CI pipelines, streamline deployment processes, and lead a high-performing team while staying close to the tech yourself.
What you'll be doing:
- Automation — researching and building solutions aligned with modern DevOps best practice
- Operations — streamlining tooling, processes and infrastructure for a smooth developer experience
- Service reliability — instrumenting monitoring across on-prem hardware, keeping systems humming, and partnering closely with developers when things need troubleshooting
- Technical leadership — setting the strategic direction for iOS DevOps: scaling, efficiency, security
- People management — 1:1s, coaching, performance management, keeping your team motivated and focused on what matters most

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
