We are seeking a Lead – Digital Site Merchandising to strategically shape the next phase of our rapidly growing digital and apparel business. This role will play a critical part in elevating how our Global Apparel & Accessories assortment comes to life online.
At On, we’re in the discovery phase of elevating our Apparel business, crafting journeys that seamlessly bridge the digital and physical worlds. This role is central to delivering a best-in-class onsite experience across all devices and markets, showcasing the most expressive version of our brand and reinforcing our premium commitment to innovation, design, and sustainability.
You will lead the optimisation and innovation of the onsite experience through smart digital merchandising strategies, compelling storytelling, and data-driven insights. Working closely with local and global stakeholders, including the Head of Digital Apparel Category. You will translate commercial vision and customer insights into impactful growth initiatives, ensuring cohesive content and merchandising execution across regions.
Your mission
- Leadership & Strategy Execution: The role requires a leader who not only sets the strategic direction for digital site merchandising within designated markets but also embodies the principles they advocate. This involves a proactive approach to understanding and implementing the overarching global strategy, ensuring that all local initiatives are in complete harmony.
- Customer-Centric Site Optimisation: Developing and executing a mid-to-long-term vision for the apparel onsite customer experience is paramount. This requires a profound understanding of the customer journey, identifying key touchpoints and areas for enhancement.
- Technical & Analytical Excellence: Drive commercial success through data-backed storytelling, utilising advanced merchandising platforms to optimise product discovery, enhance the customer journey and execute seamless digital strategies that keeps us ahead of the market trends.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Effective collaboration is fundamental to success. This role necessitates building strong working relationships with various teams, including Technology, Marketing, Commercial, and global counterparts. Seamless alignment of Digital site merchandising efforts with broader marketing campaigns, commercial strategies, and global initiatives.
- System Enhancements & Innovation: Utilising Digital toolkit functionalities and effective usage.
- Performance & Process Improvement: Accountable for the overall merchandising performance of apparel and accessories across the digital platforms. A data-driven approach to performance management is critical, this includes the regular analysis of apparel commercial performance, campaign effectiveness, and overall trading performance. Based on these insights, the individual will be responsible for identifying areas for process refinement and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency across Digital operations.
- Data-Driven & Outcomes: Drive business outcomes for apparel by defining and monitoring high-level KPIs, that ensure the brand remains agile, improves the customer experience and delivers sustained commercial growth.

Your story
- You have 5+ years of experience in leading sportswear/digital site merchandising and optimisation within a global retail organisation, with a strong understanding of data driven merchandising and KPI ownership.
- You have demonstrated experience in web analytics, with a strong preference for hands-on experience utilising platforms such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics (GA), Amplitude, or Content Square for in-depth user behavior analysis and reporting.
- You possess a highly proactive and adaptable work style, demonstrating the capacity to independently manage tasks, identify opportunities, and navigate ambiguity without constant supervision, while also remaining flexible to evolving priorities.
- You have a proven ability to perform effectively and maintain composure under pressure, successfully managing multiple responsibilities and deadlines within a dynamic and rapidly changing work environment.
- You have exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, coupled with strong interpersonal abilities to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders across different teams and levels, building rapport and managing expectations.
- You are highly organised and capable of effectively prioritising a diverse workload, managing time efficiently, and ensuring timely completion of critical tasks and projects.
- You have solid experience in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving complex issues, including those with a technical component, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and a resourceful approach to finding effective solutions.
- You exhibit a meticulous approach to work, with a strong commitment to detail, maintaining high standards of quality, and ensuring accuracy in all deliverables.
