Salary: GBP 38,000 - GBP 45,000
An established UK engineering consultancy, specialising in civil, structural, and environmental services, is looking to recruit an experienced Lead Driller to strengthen its growing ground investigation team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-regarded business known for delivering high-quality projects while maintaining a strong focus on safety, collaboration, and professional standards. You'll work on a wide range of geotechnical and environmental investigations across the UK, operating specialist drilling equipment as part of a supportive team.
What You'll Be Doing
- Operating and maintaining drilling rigs, including window sampling and dynamic probing equipment
- Collecting soil and groundwater samples to industry standards
- Accurately recording ground conditions, sample depths, and site information
- Completing daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance
- Working closely with engineers and site teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Travelling to sites across the UK, including overnight stays when required (fully expensed)

To Be Considered You'll Need
- Previous experience in geotechnical or environmental drilling
- A valid CSCS card
- NVQ Level 2 in Land Drilling or equivalent (preferred)
- A full UK driving licence
- A strong commitment to health and safety and flexibility to travel
