Lead Dynamics 365 Developer
Location: home-based (customer travel if required)
Type: Permanent
Note: No sponsorship can be offered - must be eligible for SC Clearance
This is a hands-on technical role for someone who enjoys building high-quality D365 CE and Power Platform solutions, working directly with customers, and taking ownership of technical design and delivery. This is a lead-level role, but not necessarily a traditional people-management position. The focus is on leading from a technical perspective: owning requirements, shaping solution design, guiding best practice, and being a trusted technical voice for customers and internal teams. For someone who enjoys mentoring or leading developers, there will be opportunities to do that too. But the core of the role is technical leadership, customer influence, and high-quality delivery.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead technical requirements gathering and solution design across Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform projects
- Take ownership of technical standards, code quality, best practice, and overall delivery quality
- Design, develop, and deliver Dynamics 365 CE solutions across sales, service, marketing, and wider customer engagement environments
- Build custom plug-ins, workflows, integrations, and extensions using C#
- Develop client-side customisations using JavaScript and modern frameworks
- Create and extend Power Platform components, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and PCF controls
- Work hands-on with Azure Functions and wider Azure services to build integrations and scalable solution architecture
- Lead the technical design and hands-on development of AI-enabled solutions using GitHub Copilot, Copilot Studio, OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Dynamics 365 CE, and Power Platform
- Act as a senior technical point of contact for customers, architects, consultants, and internal delivery teams
- Translate customer requirements into practical, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions
- Mentor and guide other developers where needed, without the role being limited to line management
- Lead technical workstreams or small delivery teams depending on project size, structure, and your experience

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
