Lead Electrical Engineer

Petrochemical & Oil, Gas

Hull

Full time, permanent

Are you a proven electrical engineering leader who enjoys taking ownership, setting standards and shaping how a discipline operates? This is an opportunity to head up the electrical function within a growing engineering, procurement and construction specialist that delivers complex projects across oil and gas, petrochemical, energy and other high-hazard process industries.

This business is a new breed of EPC provider, taking next-generation energy concepts and turning them into operational reality through innovative engineering, smart use of digital tools and close partnership with clients and vendors. They challenge traditional ways of delivering projects to unlock operational and commercial efficiencies, and their consulting team is viewed as a technical centre of excellence within the wider group.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Drive continuous improvement of standards, templates, and processes.

You will work closely with other engineering disciplines, Project Delivery, Sales and Resourcing, as well as directly interfacing with clients and vendors, often supporting projects from concept and feasibility through FEED, detailed design, and into commissioning.
