Lead Electrical Systems Solutions Consultant – Data Centers Bracknell, UK
As the Lead Electrical Systems Solutions Consultant for Honeywell’s Data Centers vertical in Bracknell, you will serve as the technical expert responsible for designing, validating, and implementing electrical power management system architectures for mission-critical data center environments. Collaborating closely with sales, engineering, and stakeholder teams, you will translate complex operational and facility needs into scalable, reliable, and efficient power solutions across global markets.
This design-led, solutions-focused role emphasizes deep technical expertise in electrical power management systems, integration planning, and mission-critical infrastructure across the pre-sales, solution development, and deployment lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
- Solution Design & Technical Leadership
- Work closely with customers to design mission-critical electrical power systems, including:
- Switchgear, transformers, PDUs, switchboards, remote power panels, power quality meters, and busways
- Lead the technical architecture of data centre power management systems, ensuring seamless integration with building management systems (BMS)
- Translate nominal uptime, resiliency, and efficiency requirements into compliant, scalable solutions with defined integration pathways
- Work closely with customers to design mission-critical electrical power systems, including:

Customer & Partner Engagement
- Engage with hyperscale providers, colocation operators, and enterprise clients, as well as consultants and project partners, to understand facility-specific needs, regional regulations, and operational workflows
- Support pre-sales teams by providing technical leadership, presenting system proposals, and assessing solution feasibility (no direct sales targets)

Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Strategic Sales, Offering Management, Solutions Consulting, Product Management, and Engineering to align designs with Honeywell’s technology strategy and data centre segment goals
- Review system specifications, design documentation, and integration requirements for major projects and high-value customers
- Recommend optimal system designs balancing availability, redundancy, control, and energy efficiency across global markets

Project & Knowledge Leadership
- Participate in architecture reviews, technical presentations, and industry discussions at domestic and international levels
- Stay ahead of data centre innovation, operating best practices, and integration trends
- Travel internationally to support customer engagements, design reviews, and technical workshops as required
Essential Qualifications
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in electrical power distribution for mission-critical environments
- Demonstrated ability to translate technical requirements into coherent system architectures, and integration plans
- Proven customer-facing engagement experience in pre-sales, consulting, or solution design roles
- Strong technical communication skills that bridge engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Attributes
- Certifications or memberships in data centre-focused organisations (e.g., AFCOM, Uptime Institute, Data Centre Alliance)
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, automation, or related discipline
- Proven expertise in electrical power management system design, monitoring, and integration for data centres
- Deep understanding of operational workflows, power distribution, and technical demands in data centre environments
- Global collaboration mindset—ability to work effectively across geography, disciplines, and cultural contexts
- Innovative, adaptive problem-solver with a keen eye for optimising system performance
