The Role
This is a defining role for a strategic creative ready to architect the future of the Joules experience. As the Lead Employer Brand Specialist, you won’t just be "sending updates" you will be the guardian of our culture.
Reporting into the wider NEXT Employer Brand & Social Media Manager but dedicated exclusively to the Joules business, your immediate mission is to master our internal sentiment. You will be the architect of a workplace culture so strong that it naturally paves the way for our future external reputation. You won’t just be "sending updates" you will be driving the engagement strategy that ensures Joules remains a destination employer from the inside out.
Based at Joules Head Office in Market Harborough, this is an office-based role and will require you to be onsite 5 days a week.
What You’ll Take On The Role
As a Lead, you are the driver of the narrative. You will own the execution, set the standards, and manage the timelines across three core pillars:
1. Strategic Engagement & Cultural Identity
- The "Joules Experience": Design and deliver a high-impact internal engagement and events calendar that brings our Brand DNA to life.
- Brand Stewardship: Provide brand oversight for all business initiatives, ensuring that every internal touch-point; from daily comms to large-scale events is polished, intentional, and aligned with our "Great Place to Work" road-map.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Act as a consultant to senior leadership, coaching them on how to communicate with impact and authenticity within their specific business areas.
2. Content Architecture & Visual Storytelling
- Multimedia Innovation: Move beyond text. You will create compelling "Life at Joules" content using video, digital assets, and interactive resources to build a deep emotional connection between the brand and our people.
- Creative Assets: Own the redesign of our candidate and employee materials (including inductions and internal sites), ensuring they are scalable, modern, and visually stunning.
- Digital Leadership: Manage and evolve our internal digital ecosystem (Google Sites and internal social channels), using data and insight to constantly refine our reach.

3. Transformation & Change Leadership
- Change Communications: Lead the strategy for internal transformation projects, ensuring clarity and transparency during pivotal business shifts.
- Engagement Momentum: Keep the pulse of the business; drive the "always-on" engagement campaigns that ensure the collective is heard, valued, and "survey-ready."
What You’ll Bring
We need a proactive "lead by doing" professional who can balance high-level brand strategy with technical creative execution.
- Proven Seniority: Extensive experience in Employer Branding, Internal Communications, or Engagement, with a track record of influencing culture in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative Technical Mastery: High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator) is essential. You must be able to produce professional-grade visual assets independently.
- Digital Savvy: Expertise in Google Workspace and a flair for building engaging Google Sites.
- The Creative Toolkit: Skills in photography or video editing (Premiere Pro/Final Cut) will set you apart, allowing you to capture the Joules story in real-time.
- Exceptional Narrative: You are a gifted copywriter and storyteller who can pivot from corporate announcements to emotive brand stories without losing the Joules "voice."
- Commercial Maturity: The ability to manage complex projects with pace, structure, and a keen eye on the wider commercial goals of the NEXT group.
