Lead Engineer at Seven20
About the Role
We’re looking for a senior engineer who combines deep technical capability with the drive to take ownership and lead from the front. As our Lead Engineer, you’ll be the technical anchor of the Engineering team - setting the bar for code quality, shaping our architecture, and helping the team move faster and more confidently.
This is a high-ownership role with real influence. You’ll work closely with our Director of Product Engineering to define technical direction, drive best practices, and solve the hard problems that matter most to our platform and our customers.
You’ll be joining at an exciting moment - we have strong foundations, a clear product vision, and the ambition to go further. We’re looking for someone who wants to help shape what comes next.
About us
At Seven20, we’re not just building recruitment software - we’re reinventing how the industry works. We started because we were frustrated with outdated, clunky systems that didn’t reflect how modern agencies actually operate. Recruitment isn’t one-size-fits-all, and neither are we.
We combine the power of Salesforce – the world’s #1 CRM – with extensive recruitment expertise to deliver a best-in-class experience to clients across the UK, EMEA, and APAC.
As one of Salesforce’s most active AppExchange partners, we’ve built a reputation for delivering tailored, scalable, and high-performance systems that recruiters love. Our platform supports ambitious start-ups, global staffing firms, and everyone in between.
We’re a growing team of curious, driven, and collaborative people who believe in challenging the status quo. Join us and you’ll help solve real problems, challenge old ways of thinking, and see your ideas make an impact.
What you’ll be doing
Technical Leadership & Architecture
- Own and drive architectural decisions, setting standards that support scalability, reliability, and maintainability across the platform
- Be the go-to technical authority on the most complex engineering challenges — leading from the front, not just advising from the side
- Champion modern development practices, including AI-assisted development, automation tooling, and continuous improvement
- Shape and maintain engineering standards, code quality, and review culture across the team
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
