Lead Engineer
Lead Engineer - Commercial Systems
Role Summary
We're looking for a Lead Engineer to take ownership of developing and optimizing our user-facing commercial platform. This platform is at the heart of how customers interact with our products, so you have a big impact on shaping both user experience and business operations.
You'll be joining our Commercial Operations team, collaborating heavily with the wider engineering team, finance, sales, and operations. Together, the aim is to develop and deliver a system that adapts seamlessly to both our customers' and business's evolving needs.
This role requires an engineer with strong proficiency in our technology stack, who can hit the ground running. The position blends hands-on development and project management, requiring you to translate the business vision into code while interacting with a diverse stakeholder group.
You'll thrive amidst complexity, bring excellent attention to detail, and embrace emerging technologies and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project management for product releases, including communicating timelines to key stakeholders, shaping the roadmap, and defining best practices
- Mentor and guide junior developers, supporting their professional growth
- Develop, maintain, and enhance APIs, services, and backend systems across multiple platforms, languages, and technologies
- Build and optimize scalable, robust backend solutions with database efficiency in mind
- Design and maintain Vue controls and components for end-user functionalities
- Collaborate across teams (engineers, UX designers, and data engineers) to ensure the delivery of key milestones
- Advise and contribute expertise to other applications across the organization
- Conduct code reviews and pull request reviews with an eye for quality assurance
- Assist the Support team—resolve queries, troubleshoot issues, and address support requests internally and externally
- Engage in troubleshooting, debugging, and deployments as required
- Break down complex features into actionable implementation tasks
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of software development experience, ideally covering a full product lifecycle (from conception to release)
- Project management and product-focused mindset (i.e., ask why whilst executing how)
- Strong, practical knowledge of:
- Vue (frontend development)
- Django or Laravel (backend development)
- Proven ability to integrate business systems (e.g., Stripe, Salesforce, Netsuite, or similar licensing systems)
- Familiarity with and support for legacy systems (e.g., SOAP)
- Open to leveraging AI productivity tools (such as Claude Code)
- Hands-on experience with:
- JIRA / GitHub / ProductBoard (project/ticketing tools)
- Git (version control systems, branches, pull requests, and code reviews)
- REST APIs for private/public services, including OpenAPI documentation
- AWS-based product stacks, testing, and deployment workflows

Principales Responsabilités
- Gestion de projet : communiquer aux parties prenantes les échéances, conseiller la feuille de route, définir les pratiques professionnelles
- Encadrement et mentorat des jeunes développeurs envers leur évolution professionnelle
- Conception et maintenance des API, servicesystemss, et systèmes multi-plateformes et technologies
- Développement de solutions backend évolutives, avec optimisations de bases de données approfondies
- Créer des miroirs et composants Vue hautement fonctionnels pour les utilisateurs finaux
- Coord глазаution collaborative avec autres développeuses, designers UX et ingénieurs data pour atteindre les objectifs ciblés
- Participer activement à la mise à disposition et enrichissement des applications de toute l원을hain quillationement de l'entreprise
- Révisions de code et demandes de pull request en garantissant la qualité ;
- Soutien technique et relation client : résolution des requêtes, diagnostic et réponse aux demandes de soutien, internes ou externes
- Troubleshooting, débogage, et cadrages de déploiements si besoins
- S'aventurer pour décomposer une fonction âmeénable ou actionnesse

Compétences et Qualifications Obligatories

- 5 ans d’expérience en développement logiciel (idéalement suivant un cycle complet de produit, modèle à déploiement)
- Équipe gestion de projet et pensée orientée produit (critique analysant le « Pourquoi »)
- Maîtrise experte :
- Vue (frontend)
- Django ou laravel (backend)
- Intégrations systémiques éprouvées via solutions comme: striensstripe**, Salesforce ou Netsuite,docker principalement et encodendum système de gestion de licences
- Familiaracité avec les systèmes hérités (par exemple, utilis.population de SAPP)
- Expérience ou volonté dexploration dOA fronts « intelligence artificielle » pour le Ciodé Claude.
- Usages avancés de :
- YouIRA/**GitHub/ProductBoard pour suivi et ticketing
- Git (branches, tirage, revues)
- APIeques divers, par affichage ouvertys ou privée, authentification et documentation OpenAPI
- Empileprilage comme pour livraison pivot AWS.
- Approche Oreg-product centrée.
