Lead Environment Artist
Fenris Creations is looking for a Lead Environment Artist to join our London team and play a key role in shaping the visual benchmark for EVE Vanguard; a new multiplayer First Person Shooter experience, connected to the rich universe of EVE Online.
This is a hands-on leadership role combining high-level artistic ownership with team management and delivery responsibility.
The position will require you to define artistic and technical quality standards for 3D production, create benchmark assets and scenes, guide internal and external artists through clear feedback, and work closely with Art Direction, Tech Art, Design, Production, and Engineering to ensure our environments, props, materials, lighting, and world-building achieve the right level of quality, clarity, and performance.
We’re looking for someone who can balance creative vision, team leadership, and production realities, and who is motivated to build and grow a high-performing environment art team.
We believe diversity is a strength and we are looking for talent across the board.
Your Tasks
- Define and maintain artistic and technical quality standards for environment art
- Lead and manage a team of environment artists, including mentoring, feedback, and performance development
- Own team output, ensuring assets meet quality, gameplay, and performance requirements within production timelines
- Create benchmark assets and reference scenes to guide visual direction and execution
- Establish and improve scalable workflows for modelling, texturing, materials, scene assembly, and engine integration
- Collaborate closely with Art Direction, Tech Art, Design, Engineering, Lighting, and Production to align on goals and execution
- Drive alignment and decision-making across disciplines to maintain visual and technical consistency
- Oversee external partners and outsource teams, providing clear direction and ensuring work meets internal standards
- Support planning and estimation, helping balance creative ambition with production constraints

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
