# Lead Front Office Associate – RADIOLOGY Position: Lead Front Office Associate Location: RAYUS Radiology Employment Type: Full-time (Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM) We Actively Employ: EO, Veterans, Individuals with Disabilities


About the Role

Come join RAYUS Radiology and challenge the status quo by making radiology a critical step in effective diagnosis and treatment. As a Lead Front Office Associate, you’ll blend customer service excellence with leadership, guiding patients and referring practices while coaching, training, and empowering team members to elevate overall performance.


Key Responsibilities

Patient Registration (30%)

  • Greet and register patients, process payments and confirm appointments
  • Handle inbound calls with efficiency and professionalism
  • Act as a liaison between imaging technologists and patients, ensuring seamless exam flow
  • Maintain lobby organization (supplies, cleanliness, patient materials)
  • Manage electronic patient info pushing and electronic interfaces
  • Coordinate report auditing (fax/scan WHOLE reports, billing, medical releases as needed)

Scheduling (15%)

  • Facilitate logistics for patients (transport, interpreters, accommodations)
  • Enter and verify exam orders, ensuring alignment with schedules
  • Coordinate walk-in appointments and release image CDs to patients/physicians
  • Maintain up-to-date referring provider databases and pending-scheduling lists

Insurance & Compliance (15%)

  • Pre-certify and obtain insurance approvals (including Medicare waivers)
  • Validate insurance coverage and ensure requisite authorizations
  • Handle Release of Information (ROI) requests (patients, offices, attorneys, and insurance)

Team Leadership (35%)

  • Train and coach new team members; guide annual performance evaluations
  • Facilitate team meetings, schedule one-on-one check-ins, and manage time off
  • Drive process improvements and workflow efficiency
  • Schedule and submit employee timecards; manage team during supervisor absences
  • Participate in special projects or cross-team committees

Requirements

Qualifications (Required)

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 4+ years’ experience in customer service; 2+ years in medical front office support
  • Demonstrated ability to assist colleagues and identify efficiency upgrades
  • Strong command of medical terminology, business processes and insurance protocols
  • Leadership experience directing/mentoring others
  • Tech-savvy: Mastery of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams), high-speed typing
