About the Company
I’m currently partnering with a brilliant consultancy specialising in Data and Cyber Security solutions, predominantly serving Central Government and Defence clients. Known for rapid growth, they’ve been named the 14th fastest-growing small Tech business in the UK (Financial Times) and are involved in large-scale, high-impact technical projects.
The Role
The consultancy is seeking a Technical Lead to drive development and adoption of their mature AI-centred Cyber product. Currently, the team includes:
- A non-technical Product Manager
- A team of 10 developers
- CTO deeply involved in product creation

The ideal candidate will:
- Serve as technical director for the development team
- Oversee external product leadership & adoption
Key Responsibilities
- Build and deliver end-to-end software solutions, ensuring high coding and design standards.
- Drive product-focused engineering, with a strong technical and operational ownership.
- Develop in Python, preferably using FastAPI or similar frameworks.
- Design databases and SQL schemas for optimal performance.
- Experience with TypeScript & React is a strong advantage (hybrid Option).
- Design scalable systems with expertise in CI/CD pipelines.
- Background in data-driven solutions, cybersecurity, or SaaS platforms preferred.

Requirements
✔ Strong software engineering & product alignment skills. ✔ Full-stack Python leadership, especially experience with FastAPI or similar. ✔ Strong database & SQL design knowledge. ✔ TypeScript & React experience (bonus points). ✔ CI/CD & scalable systems familiarity. ✔ Cybersecurity, AI/ML, or SaaS experience is beneficial.
Security Clearance & Citizenship
⚠️ Security clearance (SC) is a mandatory requirement.
- Existing clearance preferred.
- If not, applicants must be British Citizens due to role nature.
