About The Role
We are partnering with a forward-thinking fintech startup that is poised for significant growth and technological innovation. They are seeking a Lead Full Stack Engineer to join their dynamic team, based in Central London with a hybrid working model. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the company's technical direction, mentor a talented engineering team, and contribute directly to building impactful financial technology products. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for shaping the architecture, driving engineering best practices, and ensuring the delivery of scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions. This position is ideal for a passionate technical leader who enjoys hands-on development and has a desire to make a tangible difference in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience developing modern applications using the.NET framework, with a strong understanding of C#.
- Extensive front-end development experience with Angular, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable microservices and distributed systems.
- Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, including SOLID and Clean Architecture.
- Previous experience leading or mentoring software engineering teams, fostering growth and collaboration.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of managing stakeholder expectations and collaborating cross-functionally.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality, maintainable, and scalable software solutions.
- Experience working in Agile environments and driving engineering best practices.

Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of three full-stack engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative engineering culture.
- Remain actively involved in coding, architectural design, and technical decision-making to ensure high standards and timely delivery.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using C# and .NET, ensuring robustness and security.
- Create modern, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces utilizing Angular, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX/UI designers, and other engineering teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
- Implement best practices for frontend development, including performance optimization, accessibility, and maintainability.
- Design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices to support scalable application architecture.
- Promote and enforce clean code practices, SOLID principles, and modern development methodologies across the team.
- Conduct code reviews, provide technical mentorship, and support engineers in solving architectural and coding challenges.
- Work with senior leadership to define technical strategies, influence product roadmaps, and establish engineering standards.
- Identify opportunities for performance enhancements, security improvements, and system reliability across the platform.
- Contribute to the company's technical growth by shaping the engineering roadmap and supporting innovation initiatives.
