Role Overview
As a Lead Full Stack Engineer, you’ll combine hands-on technical execution with team leadership and product strategy. This remains a highly technical role, focusing on building critical, high-impact systems while evolving into a broader leadership and technological influence role in the organization.
You’ll bridge the gap between engineering teams, designers, and product leaders to ensure the right solutions are delivered—efficiently, elegantly, and at the right time.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Own the architecture and technical strategy for core platform domains and systems.
- Design, guide, and implement complex, cross-functional solutions spanning multiple product areas.
Deep Technical Impact
- Write high-impact, production-level code for reference implementations, critical systems, and foundational frameworks.
- Drive technical discussions, weigh trade-offs, and align teams on impactful decisions.
People & Team Growth
- Mentor senior engineers and nurture future technical leaders.
- Foster self-reliant decision-making among engineers while maintaining high engineering standards.
- Proactively identify scaling risks, bottlenecks, and technical debt, leading initiatives to mitigate them.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Flexible Leadership Path
- Transition from senior individual contributor to leadership or from a leader who remains hands-on with technical work.
- Expect to grow into broader leadership responsibilities over time.
The Problem Space
Far beyond standard CRUD applications, this role tackles meaningful production challenges with real-world constraints and measurable outcomes:
- Heat loss modelling & hydronic system design (capturing real-world dynamics).
- 2D & 3D floor-plan tooling leveraging LiDAR and computer vision.
- Large-scale data ingestion & geospatial analysis.
- Offline-first collaborative progressive web apps.
- Hardware integrations: Bluetooth tools, sensors, and monitoring systems.
Tech Stack
The engineering approach values simplicity, symmetry, and efficiency, but complexity arises naturally from solving real problems—not through over-engineering.
