Lead Generation and Business Development Executive

Join a Market-Leading Engineering & Construction Business

A well-established heritage British engineering business within the construction and civil engineering sector is looking to appoint a commercially driven Lead Generation and Business Development Executive to support growth across the UK & Ireland market.

This role combines lead generation, outbound prospecting and appointment setting, working closely with the external sales team to identify and develop new business opportunities across construction, infrastructure and industrial projects.

About the Role

As Lead Generation and Business Development Executive, you will play a key role in supporting market growth by identifying upcoming projects, engaging with key stakeholders and generating qualified sales opportunities. Responsibilities include:

  • Researching construction and infrastructure projects across the UK & Ireland
  • Conducting outbound calls to introduce the company and generate new opportunities
  • Booking appointments for Regional Sales Engineers
  • Building relationships with contractors, consultants, engineers and developers
  • Managing and updating CRM pipelines and market information
  • Supporting wider business development and market expansion activity

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in lead generation, appointment setting, telesales or business development
  • Confident communication and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable conducting outbound calls and opening conversations with new contacts
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience using CRM systems and sales tools
  • Construction, engineering or technical sector exposure would be advantageous
