Job Purpose

The Tele Sales Executive is responsible for generating new business opportunities and driving revenue growth by promoting the company's outsourced employment solutions. This includes Umbrella Employment, CIS services, Payroll Bureau solutions, and Accountancy Services to contractors, recruitment agencies, SMEs, and limited company directors.

The role focuses on identifying prospective clients, understanding their requirements, and scheduling meetings for the sales team to execute.

  • Proactively generate new business through outbound telephone prospecting.
  • Contact recruitment agencies to introduce the company's services.
  • Identify client needs and recommend appropriate solutions across:
    • Umbrella Employment
    • CIS Payroll
    • Payroll Bureau Services
    • Limited Company Accountancy Services
  • Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline using the company's CRM system.
  • Qualify leads and schedule appointments where appropriate.
  • Convert enquiries into new clients while achieving agreed sales targets.
  • Educate prospective clients on compliant payroll and employment solutions.
  • Handle objections confidently and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and opportunities.
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure a smooth client experience.
  • Keep up to date with changes in payroll legislation, CIS regulations, employment law, and HMRC guidance relevant to the services offered.
  • Represent the company professionally while maintaining high standards of customer service.

  • Number of outbound calls made
  • Qualified appointments generated

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent telephone communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong consultative selling and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to explain complex payroll and employment solutions in simple terms.
  • Commercial awareness and customer-focused approach.
  • Strong negotiation and objection-handling skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Comfortable working to individual and team sales targets.
  • Competent with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.

Experience & Qualifications

Essential

  • Previous experience in telesales, business development, or outbound sales.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Strong IT skills.

Desirable

  • Experience within one or more of the following sectors:
    • Umbrella Employment
    • Recruitment
    • Payroll
    • Accountancy
    • Employment Services
  • Knowledge of:
    • PAYE
    • CIS
    • Umbrella Employment
    • Payroll Bureau services
    • HMRC compliance
  • Experience selling B2B services.
