This is a Hybrid contract role for a Generative AI Engineer. The Generative AI Engineer will design, build, and optimize AI models and workflows to support internal tools and customer-facing solutions.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Experimenting with large language models and other generative models
- Preparing and cleaning data
- Implementing prompt-engineering and fine-tuning strategies
- Integrating AI capabilities into applications or internal systems via APIs
- Monitoring performance
- Iterating based on measurable outcomes
- Collaborating with product, operations, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, propose practical AI-driven solutions, and ensure secure, compliant use of data and models
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in software engineering, including proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used in AI (such as Python) and experience with version control and testing.
- Applied machine learning skills, including model training, evaluation, and deployment, with familiarity in deep learning frameworks (for example, PyTorch or TensorFlow).
- 1-3 years of experience building consumer-facing generative AI applications
- Experience working with large language models or other generative AI systems, including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and model evaluation for quality, bias, and safety.
- Data handling skills, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, working with structured and unstructured data, and basic understanding of data privacy and security best practices.
- Ability to design and integrate AI services using APIs or microservices, and to work with cloud platforms or MLOps tools for model deployment and monitoring.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on measurable business impact and practical, maintainable solutions.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and to document designs and experiments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; prior experience in a similar AI or ML role is an advantage.
- Ability to manage, drive, and report on the progress to senior stakeholders
- Ability to identify risks, issues, and dependencies with a clear path to resolution
