Freelance & Self-Employed Sales & Marketing Role – Mix & Blend Catering

About Mix & Blend Catering

Mix & Blend Catering is a 5-star rated catering company specialising in creative, flavourful food for diverse occasions. Our team delivers canapés with a twist, offering unique menu options beyond traditional finger buffets to surprise and delight guests.

We provide "peace of mind" to corporate clients, event organisers, and wedding planners, handling all aspects of event catering with professionalism and care. Our standout offerings include Caribbean Signature Canapés, Smoked Mackerel & Thyme Mousse Tarts, and Chocolate Rum Brownies.


Role Overview

Calling all Freelance & Self-Employed candidates who can: ✔ Craft engaging sale orders with flair. ✔ Develop marketing projects on a shoestring budget or using free resources.


Responsibilities

  • Identify and prospect new business opportunities through networking and outreach.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships, ensuring high satisfaction levels.
  • Conduct B2B sales presentations and negotiations to secure new contracts.
  • Customise solutions to meet client needs, demonstrating strong negotiation skills.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure on-time product/service delivery.
  • Maintain sales and client interaction records using IT systems.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote the company.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Stay updated on market trends, competitors, and industry developments to spot new opportunities.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

🔹 2+ years of B2B sales experience (preferably in a competitive market). 🔹 2+ years of marketing experience. 🔹 Strong grammatical skills for polished communication. 🔹 Proven negotiation skills, with a track record of closing high-value deals. 🔹 Excellent English (written and verbal). 🔹 Proficiency in IT tools: CRM software, Microsoft 365 Suite, and other relevant applications. 🔹 Fluency in English (A-Level standard required). 🔹 Ability to travel (preferably based in London), though remote flexibility exists. 🔹 Organisational skills with efficient time management. 🔹 Self-driven with strong team collaboration abilities.

✅ Preferred (but not essential): Knowledge of the food industry.

✅ Highly desirable: UK experience in the property industry.

  • Own laptop with internet access.
  • Telephone landline access (provided).

Salary, Hours & Work Arrangement

Remote / Part-Time Role

  • Working Hours: Mon–Thu, 10am – 2pm (UK time).

  • Job Type: Part-time.

  • Salary: £14.80/hour (exception: first 3 months at 15% commission only on orders over £800, excluding percentage-based contracts).

  • Remote flexibility with supplied telephone + answering machine.
