About: Xpedeon

Xpedeon is a global SaaS ERP platform serving the Construction and Engineering industry across multiple regions. We are looking for a Business Consultant with a Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying background to lead ERP implementations for clients in the UK market.

Lead Implementation Consultant - Construction ERP for London, UK (Hybrid Working)

Job Details:

Location: London, UK.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field (RICS-accredited preferred).
  • Postgraduate conversion course in Quantity Surveying accepted for candidates with non-related degrees.

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or in a similar role, with hands-on involvement in cost estimation, tendering, and contract administration within the construction or civil engineering industry.
  • Strong proficiency in core commercial functions such as budgeting, cost planning, valuation, and financial reporting.
  • Solid working knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and industry standards (e.g., JCT, NEC).

  • ERP Implementation & Process Consulting: Implement Construction ERP modules related to:
    • Quantity Surveying (QS), Cost Control & Budgeting, BOQ (Bill of Quantities)
    • Estimation & Tendering, Procurement & Subcontract Management, Contracts & Commercial Management, CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation) & project financial tracking
  • Conduct requirement gathering workshops, process mapping, gap analysis & documentation
  • Configure system workflows aligned with client business model, project lifecycle & commercial structure
  • Support data migration, including: BOQ items, Cost codes, Contracts, Material schedules, Budgets & forecasts, CVR structures (cost vs value tracking)
  • Client Interaction & Training: Collaborate with site QS teams, commercial managers, PMOs & leadership stakeholders
  • Deliver user training on: QS modules, CVR reporting & dashboards, Cost tracking & variance analysis, Workflows & approvals, Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing), change requests & system enhancements
  • Project Delivery & Support: Track deliverables, milestones & implementation timelines, Identify and escalate risks, especially related to cost control & CVR deviations.
  • Ensure successful go-live adoption, especially for QS & commercial teams. Provide post-go-live support, including: CVR analysis improvements, Cost reporting enhancements, Process optimization.
