What are we looking for
The Lead Industrialisation Engineer is a key member of the Production Engineering team responsible for coordinating the introduction, ramp-up, and industrialisation of new manufacturing equipment and processes across production areas.
The role focuses on ensuring the successful transition of new technologies and processes from development into stable and scalable production. This includes coordinating activities across Process Engineering, Automation Engineering, Quality, Production, and external suppliers to ensure alignment, readiness, and successful execution during industrialisation and ramp-up phases.
A key aspect of the role is providing technical understanding of manufacturing processes to support decision making, identify gaps, and ensure issues are resolved efficiently during commissioning and production introduction. The role acts as a central coordination point to ensure industrialisation activities are properly sequenced, risks are identified early, and production readiness is achieved in a controlled and structured way.
Working closely with Principal Engineers and functional engineering teams, the Lead Industrialisation Engineer ensures that manufacturing requirements are effectively translated into executable plans and that equipment and processes are successfully integrated into production environments.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
