Are you a dynamic, experienced Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) leader with a passion for delivering excellence in patient safety, quality improvement and workforce development?

We are seeking an exceptional Band 8b Infection Prevention & Control Lead Nurse to join our Infection Prevention & Control Team. This is a pivotal clinical leadership role that will provide expert advice, strategic direction and operational oversight to ensure the highest standards of infection prevention and control are embedded across the organisation.

As a visible and influential leader, you will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to drive continuous improvement, support compliance with national standards, and promote a culture of safety for patients, staff and visitors.

Due to the seniority and scope of this role, an in-person informal visit is highly recommended. This provides an excellent opportunity to meet the team, gain further insight into the service and discuss the opportunities and challenges of leading IPC within the organisation. We strongly encourage prospective applicants to arrange a visit prior to applying.

In conjunction with the Director of Infection Prevention and Control (DIPC), Deputy Director of Infection Prevent and Control (DDIPC), Head of IPC Nursing, and wider Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) team the post holder will be responsible for the coordination and development of a high-quality IPC service across their allocated site and division.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
