Lead IT Architect
Permanent Lead Technical Architect - Birmingham Salary - £55,000- £65,000 P/A Birmingham 1-2 days per week & Remote (Sponsorship is not provided for this opportunity)
We are seeking an experienced Lead Technical Architect to define and drive technical architecture across a complex enterprise environment. This role will be responsible for establishing architecture standards, governance, and best practices while ensuring technology solutions align with business objectives and long-term strategy.
Key Responsibilities Lead the Technical Architecture capability and provide architectural oversight across technology initiatives. Define and maintain architecture frameworks, standards, and governance processes. Design and assure complex solutions spanning cloud, infrastructure, applications, integration, and data platforms. Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and sustainable technical solutions. Act as the senior escalation point for architectural decisions and technical risks. Drive innovation through the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies. Collaborate with senior stakeholders, delivery teams, and third-party suppliers.

Requirements Significant experience in Technical, Solution, or Enterprise Architecture roles. Strong understanding of architecture governance, design assurance, and technology strategy. Experience working across cloud, infrastructure, application, integration, and data domains. Proven ability to influence stakeholders and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience operating within large, complex, and multi-supplier environments.
