Lead LNG Business Analyst | Energy Trading, Cross Asset, Front Office | Hybrid, Liverpool Street | Up to £150,000

About the Role

A Business Analyst with strong LNG knowledge, preferably within Energy or Commodities Trading, is required by a growing commodities & energy trading firm specialising in both physicals and derivative trading.

As the firm scales and introduces new products in line with evolving regulatory changes, they seek a Lead Business Analyst with strong front-office expertise to work on the full project lifecycle covering:

  • Business requirements analysis
  • Functional specification development
  • Testing
  • Support during UAT (User Acceptance Testing)

This is a Business / Front Office-focused Business Analyst position in an Energy Trading environment. Excellent communication skills are essential for engagement across all levels of senior management.

The primary objective of the Lead LNG Business Analyst is to oversee the design and deployment of a system that unifies trading lifecycle events while providing near real-time exposure and position data across multiple energy commodities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
