Asda is looking for a Senior Manager to lead part of our Trade Planning teams for our food and GM business on a permanent basis.
Working as part of the busy but extremely rewarding Commercial team, you will be joining us at an exciting time as we continue our journey to ASDA price and the simplification of our range and proposition. This is a key development role for anyone looking to broaden their skills across Commercial and cross functionally across Asda.
You will business partner our Business Unit Directors and your team will be an intrinsic part of the business units across Food/GM/Events and will operate to a matrix structure.
This role reports directly into the Senior Director, Trade Planning and Price and will cover all channels & formats.
The key areas of responsibility will be to support.
- Collaborate closely with the category/customer and central ops teams translating and delivering the brief set from the strategic trade plan.
- Collaborating with the customer team using analytics & insight to build a winning trading plan that delivers our formula for growth objectives.
- Develop the strategic plan for promotional/event space as part of the category strategy output.
- Design and run the post launch review process for large scale cross functional events.
- Lead & provide direction to the teams that sit within each of the business units to deliver to our customer and trade plans.

About You
- Experience of Retail, Category management, buying, marketing, or trade planning.
- Experienced leader with a record of building, motivating teams & leading teams through change.
- Be able to read the market & competitive landscape and react at pace.
- The ability to use data, interpret and build a strategy to deliver.
- Capable of influencing and challenging at SD and VP level.

Over and above this, each area of Asda may have additional requirements which may require spending more days in the office, visiting suppliers, stores or depots.
