Lead Mechanical Design Engineer
I'm working with an innovative technology company developing ruggedised hardware for demanding real-world environments. They're looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to take ownership of mechanical development, leading products from concept through to production while influencing design quality, reliability and performance.
You'll be responsible for:
- Leading mechanical design from concept to manufacture
- Improving product reliability and environmental performance
- Material selection, thermal management and sealing strategies
- Prototyping, testing and product validation
- Championing Design for Manufacture (DfM) and Design for Assembly (DfA)

We're looking for someone with:
- Experience developing complex hardware products
- Strong 3D CAD skills (SolidWorks, Siemens NX or similar)
- A track record of taking products from concept through to manufacture
- Hands-on prototyping and testing experience
- The ability to lead technical projects and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
