High Density Liquid Cooling Lead Engineer
Position Summary
This role is for an experienced Lead Engineer responsible for leading the design and release of new products within High Density Liquid Cooling.
The Lead Engineer will operate in a cross-functional development group on a global scale, managing a range of tasks and leading team activities within a dynamic—yet sometimes demanding—environment. This position merges advanced technical execution, project management, and team leadership.
The ideal candidate is a professional with deep product development expertise, adept at carrying out complex processes and techniques while balancing high-level guidance with hands-on project oversight.
Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Team Oversight:
- Lead by example and direct engineers in CDU development from an engineering perspectiv
- Check and approve drawings and BOMs for product specifications
- Identify cost reduction opportunities by assessing design approaches and component alternatives

Technical Direction & Decision-Making:
- Guide technical direction within the team (matrix organisation), make or influence architectural decisions
- Ensure alignment with engineering best practices and industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASME, GD&T)
- Pedagogical acumen to implement root cause analysis for developing corrective actions

Project Management & Stakeholder Coordination:
- Oversee project timelines, milestones, and deliverables—from concept to delivery
- Serve as the primary contact for global stakeholders (mechanical/electrical teams, software, manufacturing)

Compliance, Procurement & Technical Vendor Support:
- Enforce quality standards and procedures to meet regulatory compliance
- Engage in vendor evaluation to align third-party components with technical requirements
- Contribute to product development initiatives with Speed, Precision and Discipline
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- 5-10+ years in a leadership role in product development
- Proven ability to work independently in fast-paced environments while collaborating and accepting constructive feedback
- Mentorship skills to coach junior engineers, alongside taking direction from managers and senior leadership
- Strong knowledge of full product development lifecycle (design → production → deployment)
- Project management & communication (oral/written) competence
- Proficient in 3D CAD, with CREO 4.0+ being highly preferable
- Expertise in UL Standards and ASHRAE for HVAC, with preference for Data Centre knowledge
- Industry experience in a heavily regulated sector
- Systematic approach to troubleshooting & problem resolution
- Soft Skills:
- Clear communication bridge between technical teams (engineering, software) and non-technical stakeholders
- Strategic & analytical thinking to resolve complex technical issues

Preferred Qualifications
- 2-4 years in the HVAC industry
- Experience with PLM systems (BOM management & changemanagement systems)
- Collaborated with manufacturing engineering and production teams
Education & Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent from an accredited institution
- Chartered Engineer designation from an established professional body, or progress in certification efforts
