Lead Mosaic Developer

Lead Mosaic Developer - Hybrid - 6 month contract - £450 per day (Inside IR 35)

The position will be working for a successful and government-led organisation that is seeking a Mosaic Developer who has strong capabilities in Access Community Gateway online forms.

The Lead Mosaic Developer will need experience working within a local borough or council, with capabilities in online portals for Mosaic.


Job Overview

The Lead Systems Developer will be responsible for the successful development of a children’s social care case management system (Mosaic), utilising a range of development languages, such as JavaScript and SQL.

Responsibilities:

  • Make changes to an existing case management system to enhance business processes, ensuring they are more efficient and user-friendly. Collaborate with:

    • Business analysts
    • Front-end social work teams
    • Performance teams

    To deliver high-quality applications and user experiences within an agile environment.

  • Lead project teams with responsibility for systems development for Children’s Services, ensuring:

    • User needs are considered.
    • System development strikes a balance between stakeholder needs (including performance reporting) while promoting lean and efficient delivery and operations.
  • Analyse business needs, define business processes and requirements, leveraging:

    • People and systems to their best potential.

    Tasks include:

    • Producing and maintaining business process maps.
    • Maintaining a library of processes.
  • Work closely with operational colleagues to ensure systems are used correctly in line with statutory requirements within:

    • Operational procedures.
  • Develop and oversee a comprehensive programme of system change specifications and:

    • Implement change requirements methodically in close collaboration with:
      • Assistant Director (Children’s Social Care and Youth Inclusion)
      • Head of Performance
      • Operational Heads of Service
      • Operational IT team.

Role Requirements

  • Experience in building Access Community Gateway online forms.

  • Ability to develop the online portal for Mosaic.

  • Skill in working with service designers and other designers to build and deploy forms.

  • Capability to build, mentor, and support junior Mosaic developers.

  • Previous system development experience, ideally within a local borough or council.

  • Must have system development experience in:

    • Children’s Social Care,
    • Children’s Services,
    • Adult Services, or
    • Youth Inclusion Division.
  • Experience working with BA’s (Business Analysts) and PM’s (Project Managers) within an agile environment.

  • Background in working with:

    • Performance teams,
    • QA (Quality Assurance) teams, and
    • Strategic partners.

    To promote and improve systems development and effective use of case management systems.
