Lead Network Engineer

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000

Hybrid Working: 1-2 days in the office


Due to growth and continued success… I’m on the lookout for an experienced Lead Network Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

  • As the Senior Network Engineer, you will help to oversee and mentor junior staff to ensure and maintain high standards of support.
  • Stay up to date with the latest technologies & trends in the market; whilst working closely with directors to make recommendations to improve the practice.
  • Take full ownership in the scope, design, through to the deployment and configuration of varied but sizeable projects with key customers.
  • Effective communicator with both technical and none-technical staff with the ability to cross celebrate with the Security Team when explaining concepts.
  • Have a strong understanding of Networking Protocols and Security principles.
  • Creating HLD and LLD’s for customer solutions.
  • Act as a point of escalation for the Network Engineer.
  • Writing detailed documentation for Network Configurations and Troubleshooting Guides when escalated issues arise.
  • Support the sales team from a Technical Pre-Sales standpoint when required.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience working in the MSP or ISP space would be advantageous.
  • Ideally looking for an individual who can showcase a solid 3-5 years working as or approaching the level of a Senior Network Engineer.
  • Having a familiarity and or passion for automation tools would be great! (PowerShell, Python, APIs etc.)
  • Excellent working knowledge of networking protocols (VPN, TCP/IP, VLANs, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP etc.)
  • Have obtained industry recognised certifications at the level of or equivalent to CCNP Enterprise or CCNP Security.
