Job Description
Experian’s Global Network Engineering organisation seeks a Lead Network Engineer to provide subject matter expertise for the Experian Global Network, supporting all business units and regions.
Key Responsibilities
You will contribute to major global programs, including:
- SD-WAN
- Automation
- Standards development
You will collaborate with security, build, and operations teams to maintain a secure, regulated network infrastructure, aligning with stringent Regulatory, Governmental, and Industry security controls.

Additionally, you will help shape an efficient, agile engineering team that ensures exceptional service delivery for our customers.
This is a hybrid, London-based position (60% in-office), reporting to the Sr Director for Endpoint Architecture.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage and secure network systems globally, including multi-region, multi-tenant cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises environments.
- Lead Checkpoint/Cisco firewalls, Cisco switches/routers, F5/Citrix load balancers, and Fortinet wireless networks.
- Execute SSE/SASE technologies (Netskope, Zscaler), Zero Trust principles, and network/security automation.
- Design, implement, and migrate complex projects, involving capacity planning, disaster recovery, business continuity, and security compliance.
- Present technical solutions to stakeholders via whiteboards, workshops, or written reports.
- Mentor colleagues and foster a technology-forward culture with a collaborative mindset.
- Develop and enforce configuration policies and best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
Wireless
- Proven expertise with the full Fortinet Wi-Fi stack (FortiManager, FortiGate, FortiNAC, FortiSwitch, FortiAIOps).
- Enterprise wireless design proficiency – FortiAP, Cisco Catalyst/Meraki – including RF, roaming protocols, and high-density deployments.

Core Networking
- Mastery of L2/L3 protocols (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP).
- WAN & SD-WAN implementation.
- QoS, MPLS-VPN, and traffic management.
- Equivalent to Cisco CCNP certification (or greater).
Security & Cloud
- Experience in managing Checkpoint Firewalls, Vi [sic] with IPS, and Citrix load balancers.
- Hands-on deployment/optimisation of SASE/SASE technologies (e.g., Zscaler ZIA/ZPA, Netskope).
Automation & Tooling
- Scripting/automation in Terraform, Ansible, Python, or PowerBI.
- Familiarity with network analysis and management tools.
