Lead Night Manager – Eastlands (Full-Time, Permanent)

About the Role
At Asda, we’re proud to be Find Your Everything, and as Lead Night Manager in one of our larger-format stores, you’ll lead the night team to ensure operations run smoothly when the rest of the world is asleep. Your role is critical—delivering exceptional standards across all departments, maintaining a safe and compliant store environment, and coordinating activities from opening to closing (including 24-hour store operations).
As part of the leadership team, you’ll oversee night planning and execution, holding accountability for all trading activity. You’ll be fully responsible for the store during your shift, requiring confidence in managing overall operations and team performance.
Responsibilities
Drive strategy into action:
- Plan and execute all trading activities during night shifts, ensuring date rotation accuracy, and managing waste and returns effectively.
- Minimise damage through replenishment processes and reducing losses.

- Lead, coach, and mentor night colleagues and team leaders to deliver excellent shop floor standards.

- Ensure the shop floor is presentable for customers before handing over to the day team.
- Confirm modular activities are completed and POS systems are updated.

Requirements
- Experience: Managing teams in a large-format retail grocery environment, ideally with overnight shift experience.
- Decision-making: Ability to make independent, hands-on decisions and improve processes.
- Leadership: Skilled in developing large teams and managing change.
- Service mindset: Strong customer service focus.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work a range of night shifts, including weekends.
