Due to internal promotions we have a new exciting opportunity for a new Lead Nurse to join our team!

Are you a dedicated Registered Nurse looking for a new challenge within a secure setting focusing on substance misuse and primary care? Have you developed your leadership skills across integrated and multi-disciplinary services? Are you a motivated nurse committed to clinical quality and continuous improvement? Would you welcome the opportunity for further training and development? Do you want to combine your substance misuse, primary care, acute and emergency nursing skills all in one place and keep your NHS Pension?

You must have post registration experience with excellent clinical nursing knowledge and eager to develop your managerial skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial with the ability to work well as part of a multi-disciplinary team. If you are a motivated individual with a desire to enhance your clinical and leadership skills, we can offer a wide range of training and development opportunities such as clinical skills and non medical prescribing.

The welcome payment is payable to new candidates joining Spectrum Community Health CIC.

The post holder will take responsibility for the daily management, co-ordination and delivery of evidence-based care and provide strong clinical leadership to the nursing team. This includes being involved with shift planning, taking appropriate action to adjust staffing levels and to prioritise the workload in accordance with patient need, service demand and the availability and skills of staff.

The post holder will be involved with providing and supervising the holistic care for the patients delivered by the team and working in collaboration with other professionals to ensure that the best care is optimised at all times. The role involves assessing, providing advice and administering evidence-based care as appropriate to patients within Health & Justice. This includes leading physical health services as part of a multi-disciplinary team to plan, provide and evaluate a range of health interventions to meet prisoner healthcare needs and contribute to the wider continuous development of integrated prison healthcare services. Demonstrate knowledge, skills and understanding of health issues and evidence-based treatment options to provide primary care physical health, clinical and operational guidance to all staff on matters relating to physical health and wellbeing within the prison setting.
