Lead Nurse
Job Description: Lead Nurse (Dermatology) Location: London: Cross Rail Full time 40 hours per week (Monday-Saturday) Monday – Friday 08:00am until 20:00hrs and Saturday 08:00am-14:00hrs Salary £47,480 per annum We make health happen The Dermatology Partnership is a growing group of private clinics, who are trusted experts in dermatology and are now part of Bupa Health Services. As a Lead Nurse you will work as part of a multidisciplinary dermatology team, providing clinical leadership while delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care within a private, CQC‑registered clinical setting. The role involves supporting consultations, assisting with minor surgical procedures, and providing pre‑ and post‑operative care, including patient information, wound care and clinical treatments. You will also provide effective clinical, leadership and administrative support, ensuring care is delivered safely, compassionately and in line with CQC standards. Key Responsibilities: Provide clinical leadership across the clinic, ensuring consistently high standards of patient‑centred, evidence‑based nursing care Act as a senior clinical resource, supporting complex patient care, decision‑making and escalation where required Maintain a clinical presence as required, including supporting consultations, dermatology procedures and minor surgery Organise and participate within clinic team meetings Act as a patient advocate, ensuring dignity, safety, informed consent and positive patient experience at all times Lead, support and supervise nursing and healthcare staff, promoting professional standards and accountability Undertake appraisals for nursing team and work with practice manager to achieve appraisal objectives Allocate duties, manage clinic staffing requirements and support effective patient flow Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, performance feedback and support appraisals Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role: Registered Nurse (Adult) – Degree or Diploma Current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) Evidence of ongoing professional development and revalidation and clinical competency maintenance Postgraduate qualification or leadership/management training Dermatology‑specific or surgical/outpatient clinical training Safeguarding Training (Adults / Children) Basic Life Support (or willingness to undertake training) Infection prevention and control training Significant post‑registration nursing experience, including leadership or senior clinical responsibility Experience working within CQC‑regulated healthcare services Proven experience in dermatology, outpatient, surgical or private clinical settings Experience supervising, mentoring or managing nursing and support staff Experience leading or contributing to clinical audits, quality improvement or governance activities Why Bupa?
