Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist looking to take the next step in you career and be part of meaningful change? If so, join the team at Farmfield Hospital as a Lead Occupational Therapist.
You’ll be joining a service for adult men 18+ who potentially have a forensic background and enduring mental health illnesses such as personality disorder, substance misuse issues and challenging behaviours.
With experience from the NHS and/or private sector, you will be responsible for managing a complex caseload using evidence-based and people-focused principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual and group interventions which will support the service users to develop their skills in self maintenance, productivity and leisure.
With a strong emphasis on teamwork, you’ll receive support from a regional network of healthcare professionals and enjoy access to a variety of online and CPD training courses to support you reach your career goals.
As a Lead Occupational Therapist, You Will Be
Participating fully with the multidisciplinary team and encourage the service users to be fully engaged in their care pathway Managing and co-ordinating the implementation of individual treatment plans for occupational therapy services ensuring treatments, activities and interventions are delivered through effective application and communication by the occupational therapists. Ensuring the team maintains accurate and timely records detailing each patient’s rehabilitation / progress. Ensuring the effective and efficient management of more junior staff. Supporting clinical team working, including both direct interventions and the delivery of staff training programmes Receiving and responding promptly to referrals, undertaking patient assessments to identify and prioritise patient needs before planning and delivering the appropriate and relevant interventions either on an individual or group basis. Working to develop living skills, rehabilitation, and educational opportunities/therapies.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Need
To be qualified and registered as an Occupational Therapist At least 3 years post qualifying experience. Experience in assessing people with a variety of psychometrics and risk assessment tools To be able to work therapeutically, engaging people in developing insight and coping skills to manage their complex needs Experience in supervising and managing junior members of the team A full and clean UK driving licence

Location: Farmfield Drive, Charlwood, Surrey, RH6 0BN
You will be working at Farmfield Hospital, situated located next to Gatwick.
You’ll be caring for adult men 18+ who potentially have a forensic background and enduring mental health illnesses such as personality disorder, substance misuse issues and challenging behaviours.
The Provider Collaborative is led and commissioned (via delegated commissioning from Integrated Care Boards) by Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. The Provider Collaborative's combined resources improve care pathways for patients and give opportunities for pathway development, shared safety and quality improvement, service innovation, specialisation and for shared staff training and networking.
