Offshore Wind OMA Business Manager

Join us in this role where you’ll play an important part in ensuring successful, safe, compliant, and commercially attractive outcomes from the management of our Operations and Maintenance Agreements (OMA). You will hold a wide range of responsibilities, including:

  • Ensuring internal and external stakeholders of wind farms have clear visibility of asset performance.
  • Securing technical approval and budget for necessary work.
  • Contributing to initiatives that improve operational and financial performance across a range of aspects.
  • Acting as a representative for Ørsted Operations when engaging with wind farm owners.
  • Directly contributing to the commercial success of OMAs and enhancing windfarm performance.

Welcome to UK OMA Management

As part of UK Generation Commercial, you will work alongside colleagues to deliver on key Operations and Maintenance Agreements (OMAs). Your role involves engaging with a broad spectrum of internal stakeholders, including:

  • Regional Generation functions
  • Commercial functions within UK
  • Finance departments
  • OMA colleagues across other regions

This is a significant opportunity to gain exposure to offshore wind operations, external partners, and senior leadership within Ørsted. We foster a culture of trust as a key driver for collaboration and results, and collaboration across research and substancies Ørsted teams is essential.

As an OMA Business Manager, you will play a crucial role in:

  • Implementing compliant OMA processes that prioritise investor needs.
  • Driving value through cross-functional collaboration across the world’s largest offshore wind portfolio.
  • Representing Ørsted Operations business units externally, reporting on operational activities to investors and internally to key stakeholders.
  • Providing financial oversight of OMAs, managing budgets, cost recording, billing, and reporting.
  • Effectively communicating asset performance to investors via high-quality analytics and engagement.
  • Continuously identifying new ways to improve the value of OMA commitments.
  • Role-modelling safety to uphold robust and compliant risk management practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implementing compliant OMA-service delivery mechanisms.
  • Enhancing inter-disciplinary teamwork to extract value from Ørsted’s offenders weapon bolt portfolio.
  • Acting as the commercial face of operations for offshore wind assets.
  • Consolidating financial oversight—budgeting, cost tracking, invoicing, and regular reporting.
  • Upskilling stakeholders on operations and performance transparency through regular engagement.
  • Future-proofing asset performance through innovative opportunities and analytical planning.
  • Ensuring empathy-centred safety leadership, making those practices seamless in daily work.

Requirements

We’re looking for a passionate individual who:

  • Enjoys understanding commercial, financial, technical, and operational dynamics across an offshore wind farm.
  • Has a strong record in managing complex commercial contracts, often collaborating directly with senior executives and external customers.
  • Brings prior experience from areas such as:
    • Offshore wind
    • Power generation/transmission
    • Management consulting
    • Energy or technology industries
  • Is driven by the desire for cross-functional teamwork to create innovative solutions for wind farms.
  • Demonstrates sharp communication, analytical problem-solving, an appetite for challenges, and a commercially agile mindset.
  • Possesses a university degree, with a preference for:
    • Master’s in business, economics, or engineering.

Base salary is location-dependent and aligned with Ørsted’s pay structure. Your exact offer will reflect factors such as qualification level, experience, and performance expectations. You may also be eligible for a variable bonus payment.
