Lead OT Cybersecurity Solutions Architect
Lead OT Cybersecurity Solutions Architect
About the Role
FPC Global are the world’s leading digital building experts, offering full-service integrated technology consultancy and professional services to the built environment. We partner with some of the largest organisations globally, supporting clients to improve asset performance and security, operational efficiency, sustainability outcomes, and digital maturity across complex portfolios.
As Lead OT Cybersecurity Solutions Architect at FPC Digital, you will serve as the global technical authority, blending strategy with hands-on delivery in a high-profile hybrid role. You will report to the Managing Director with a dotted line into the CTO (Matrix Structure).
In an era of intelligent buildings and data centers lacking traditional air-gaps, your role will focus on designing resilient, secure-by-design architectures. Your mission includes defining next-gen OT security services and driving the strategy for our Centre of Excellence (CoE) based OT SOC.
You will operate across consulting and delivery, embedding cybersecurity into Building Management Systems (BMS) and Smart Building processes from design through operations. Integrated into the global Technology & Innovation function, you will lead the Cybersecurity SteerCo within the Technical Design Authority (TDA), ensuring field insights directly influence global standards, partner strategies, and innovation.
This is a technical role without direct reports but one that sits centrally to FPC’s people strategy, mentoring a specialized OT Cybersecurity team. You will also enhance auditing benchmarks and provide technical governance over all global deliverables.
Responsibilities
Technical Design, Smart Building Integration & Delivery
- Design & Execute Secure-by-Design Architectures: Define, design, and implement end-to-end security architectures for complex OT, BMS, and IoT ecosystems across global corporate real estate and hyperscale data centres.
- Embed Cybersecurity: Champion a cybersecurity perspective into the physical and logical design of Building Management Systems and Smart Building infrastructure.
- Collaborate Across Facets: Align strategic advice with practical engineering and commissioning across the entire FPC Digital team.
- Enforce Security Standards: Lead compliance with IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, and CIS Controls, turning theoretical frameworks into practical engineering solutions.
- Implement Zero Trust: Develop and deploy modern network micro-segmentation, IAM (Identity and Access Management), and zero-trust policies for fragile legacy and modern OT systems.
Technical Design Authority & Innovation Leadership
- Lead Cybersecurity SteerCo: Serve as the principal expert within FPC’s Technical Design Authority (TDA) and chair the Cybersecurity SteerCo, coordinating with the CTO’s office on global technical direction. Contribute to related SteerCos (Innovation, IT, and Technical Architecture).
- Empower Labs: Curb an agnostic sandbox environment for evaluating next-gen security tools, ensuring FPC maintains its position as a technology-agnostic powerhouse.
- Drive Innovation: Translate subject matter expertise into scalable, commercially advantageous offerings for global clients and FPC’s broader growth.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
