Role overview
The Lead Performance Analyst will provide leadership across performance analysis workstreams, ensuring teams have the right frameworks, tools and standards to measure outcomes and improve digital services. The role combines hands-on analysis, stakeholder influence and mentoring of analysts. You will work with multidisciplinary teams across data, AI, software engineering, product, QA and delivery to create practical outcomes for clients and end users.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the development of performance measurement frameworks across multiple products, services or client engagements.
- Set standards for KPIs, benefits measurement, reporting, dashboarding and quality assurance of analytical outputs.
- Coach and support analysts, helping them apply appropriate methods and communicate insight effectively.
- Act as an escalation point for complex performance questions, data quality issues and stakeholder challenges.
- Influence senior stakeholders by translating complex analysis into practical strategic and tactical recommendations.
- Promote a data-driven culture across delivery teams, ensuring evidence is used to improve decisions and outcomes.

Essential Skills And Experience
- Strong experience leading performance analysis for digital products, services or transformation programmes.
- Expert knowledge of performance measurement, KPI design, analytics tooling and reporting standards.
- Ability to supervise a range of analysis techniques and assure the quality of analytical outputs.
- Confident stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence and challenge senior audiences.
- Experience mentoring analysts and building analytical capability within multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong knowledge of security, data privacy, ethical and operational constraints.

Desirable Skills And Experience
- Experience defining analytics strategy, data implementation approaches or service performance models.
- Experience with cloud analytics, BI platforms, digital analytics and data visualisation standards.
- Experience working with public-sector, regulated or high-assurance delivery environments.
