Lead Pharmacy Technician – Clinical Services
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Lead Pharmacy Technician – Clinical Services to join our Pharmacy team at Whittington Health.
This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a skilled pharmacy technician to take a key role in shaping and delivering high-quality medicines management and clinical pharmacy services across the Trust.
About the Role
- You will lead a team of Medicines Management Pharmacy Technicians and Assistants
- Support service development, workforce planning, and continuous improvement
- Ensure safe, effective, and patient-centred care across pharmacy operations
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and line management to the Medicines Management team
- Lead the delivery and development of clinical pharmacy and medicines management services
- Support service improvement, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) development, and governance processes
- Collaborate collaboratively with pharmacists, ward teams, and multidisciplinary colleagues
- Ensure safe and effective use of medicines across all clinical areas
- Oversee training, education, and workforce development of pharmacy staff
- Contribute to audit, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives

Requirements
The successful candidate will be:
- A proactive and committed GPhC-registered Pharmacy Technician
- Experienced across all areas of pharmacy, particularly in clinical pharmacy services within an NHS acute setting at a senior level
- Possess excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
