Looking for a opportunity, where you can lead engineers and still get stuck into real engineering challenges? Well.. this is the role for you
You’ll be joining a global organisation, but within a close knit engineering unit of around 300 Platform Engineers across the UK, giving you the backing of a major player with the autonomy to actually shape how things are built.
You’ll be part of a Platform Engineering Centre of Excellence, helping deliver and evolve critical public sector services at national scale. This means designing secure, cloud native platforms across AWS, building out multi account landing zones, scaling Kubernetes environments that are the largest in Europe and modernising legacy systems into microservices architectures that are built to last and the much more

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
