Purpose of the role:

To provide leadership of a platform lift installation team including training and development of a support/trainee Engineer – this will be at locations throughout the United Kingdom (incl. The Channel Islands).

Main Responsibilities:

  • Complete successful installation and commissioning of lifts on time, safely, and with excellent cost control.
  • Support servicing and breakdown of lifts when required, being flexible in line with business needs.
  • Be willing to occasionally carry out overtime works, in line with business needs or urgent customer requirements.
  • Undertake Installations as scheduled by the office ensuring that deadlines are met, and the work is satisfactory for commissioning.
  • Carry out lift maintenance and service of the units as required.
  • Contribute innovative suggestions and ideas that will enable the business to develop and grow.
  • Provide internal training to colleagues and business partners in connection to lift installation, maintenance and Cibes products to increase the internal skills and knowledge base.
  • Providing technical support to internal and external clients.
  • Additional/different responsibilities in line with the position on occasion.

Skills & Knowledge required:

  • Full driving licence.
  • Lift industry experience
  • CSCS card.
  • Working at height trained.
  • Manual handling trained.
  • Asbestos awareness trained.
  • PASMA SSSTS
  • Experience in platform lifts / or similar.
  • NVQ Level 2 – Platform Lift Installation (or similar Lift/Engineering NVQ).
  • Experience with safe electrical works.
