Role: Lead Platform Security Architect
Location: London office 3 days per week
Salary: up to £130,000 fixed salary + 15% bonus
Lawrence Harvey is partnering with a rapidly growing digital trading platform that serve as the backbone for a multitude of high-profile financial services players.
They are searching for a Lead Platform Security Architect (Security Hire #2) to work alongside the CISO and Platform Engineering teams. You'll be defining the security strategy for a modern cloud platform, ensuring security is embedded across architecture, engineering and technology delivery.
This is a hands-on role where you'll shape security standards, influence platform design, and enable engineering teams to build secure, scalable cloud services from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities
- Own the security architecture for cloud platforms, ensuring secure-by-design principles are embedded across engineering.
- Conduct architecture reviews, threat modelling and security assessments for new platforms and services.
- Establish security standards for Azure, Kubernetes, identity, networking, Infrastructure-as-Code and cloud-native technologies.
- Integrate security into platform engineering, CI/CD pipelines and developer workflows.
- Provide technical leadership on security governance, risk management and third-party assurance.
Key Requirements:

- Proven experience designing and securing enterprise cloud platforms.
- Strong background in Platform Security, Cloud Security Architecture or DevSecOps.
- Expertise across Azure, Kubernetes, containers, IAM and Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Ability to work closely with engineering teams while influencing technical and business stakeholders.
- A pragmatic approach to balancing security, resilience and delivery.
